Welcome to the Chestertown Gateway. Chestertown Gateway is vacant land designed and approved for mixed use commercial development in the Adirondack Park hamlet of Chestertown, NY. The goal of this project is to create a landmark development that will welcome and provide services to residents and visitors of the town and region. It is envisioned that this complex should serve as a model for sustainable highway-oriented development in the Adirondacks.

The Chestertown Gateway has an advantageous location immediately and directly adjacent to exit 25 of the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) that fronts on NYS Route 8. During the summer and winter months, this area sees an immense amount of vehicle traffic to the Adirondack park and lakes, and nearby Gore Mountain. The 1.7-acre site is in the Hamlet Zoning District, which allows a wide range of commercial uses. The project does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Adirondack Park Agency. The site offers at grade access for each level of the proposed 2-story, 10,000 square-foot building. The custom design takes full advantage of the site and views while complementing the character of Chestertown.

The Chestertown Gateway project is envisioned to support fuel sales, convenience and specialty retail, cafe, restaurant, and quick serve in 10,000 square feet of subdivided space. There is currently only one very busy Stewart
