This is the Refinery Lounge located downtown North Pole and between the Fort Wainwright and Eielson bases. Within the building are a central bar area, a large seating and lounge area with a built in stage, a separate pool and billiards room, and a game area. The building consists of a one story, wood frame building that was mostly built in 1981. Portions of the rear of the building were demolished and a new addition was constructed in 1984. Subsequent to that several additions have been constructed onto the building, and its current size is approximately 4,617 square feet. The exterior was resided in the summer of 2006.
