A symposium in Palto Alto, California will host leaders in real estate and global markets to focus on challenges presented by our growing population. Over half of our world's population will live in urban areas in 2050, as reported by the United Nations. With a shift of that magnitude coming, addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the commercial real estate industry is key. Topics include:

Defining the global city of the future

Risk management and resiliency

Terrorism - Cyber and Domestic

Smart cities on a human scale

Global capital flows

Leveraging technology

Sustainable urban infrastructure

Autonomous vehicles

Partners for the event include CRE, SPIRE, and RICS. Speakers from Pramerica Real Estate Investors, The Weitzman Group, and NYU Shack Institute of Real Estate, as well as many others, will share insights and ideas for this great global expansion. The event takes place March 30 - April 1.
