The Kane family has been running one of Lake Placid's best restaurants for over 40 years. Customers had been coming to their location of operation in the heart of Main Street for years, when they were known as Great Adirondack Steak & Seafood. Thier craft brewery had grown so much, though, that they relaunched as Great Adirondack Brewing Company in 2018.

The brewery consists of a custom-manufactured seven-barrel stainless steel brew system, and is currently housed behind the restaurant where they produced a wide range of ales and lagers using the finest imported and domestic ingredients.
