The Swiss Chalet Gift Shop, Information Center and Bed and Breakfast is located directly across from Busch Gardens (the largest family attraction on the West Coast of Florida). Over 30 rides, 18 Shows, 12,000 animals on 300 acres. Attendance is 4 to 5 million visitors per year. Adventure Island is a 25-acre beautiful Water Park located less than 1/2 mile away, which also has large attendance annually. The Museum of Science and Industry is 1 1/4 mile away. Lowry Park Zoo a 56-acre park is 4 miles away. University of South Florida is 1 mile away with an enrollment of 48,000 students. The James B. Haley Veterans Hospital is 1 mile away, next to the Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Shriner's Hospital, and the Florida Hospital. University Mall is 1 mile away. Over 2 1/2 million people live within 50 miles. Tampa generates over 21 million visitors per year. Downtown Tampa and Ybor City are less than 15 minutes away or 5/6 miles. Starbucks is six blocks east. Walmart is building a Super Center 14 blocks away. The Swiss Chalet is the only Souvenir shop in North Tampa. Tampa Bay is the second largest metro area in Florida and 18th largest in the United States. The Swiss Chalet has been a very profitable business over the past 30 years. The reason it is being sold is the owner is retiring after 30 years at the same location. If someone wanted to keep it as a Souvenir Shop, the owner would be willing to give him or her 50% off on the existing merchandise. The owner plans to take the Travel Agency business with him.

The reason the shop was originally named Swiss Chalet was that it was built directly across from the Ole Swiss House Restaurant, which was a replica of the one in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The building was built in December 1978. There is 2500 sq. ft. upstairs, the same downstairs, and an additional building for storage in rear of building (12x 25-ft.).
