The Historic Stables Building is one of several key properties in the Allegheny West Civil Council Loft District Master Plan, which seeks to expand the elegant Allegheny West neighborhood with the development of loft-style housing and unique business sites while preserving the historic structures of W. The 3-story building is a designated city historic structure. It was built in 1895 and served as the stables for Allegheny City's Public Works Department.
